Whilst some building surveyors are still accepting Generic Certificate Of Compliance, more and more and choose to accept Regulation 126. To me, it depends on the building surveyor's experience, competency and his risk profile. If the building surveyor is confident on the drawings and computation provided, he may not require a Reg 126 and is still able to provide the approval.

As we see the industry swift towards Reg 126, it is clear why more and more building surveyors are requesting for this.
